JBA

In 1982 three partners teamed up to start a car manufacturing company, the partners were Ken Jones, John Barlow and Dave Ashley, hence the name of the company, JBA Engineering.

The company's first car was the 1982 JBA Falcon Roadster which featured a design reminiscent of the 1930's roadsters. It used an all aluminum body, fiberglass wings and a vertical windscreen. The Falcon Roadster was actually based on the Ford Cortina and received a Ford V6 or Rover V8 engine. This car was sold as either a kit or as a factory built car until 1985.

In 1985 two new models were launched, the JBA Javelin and the JBA Falcon Plus 2. The Javelin was based on the Ford Capri and the Falcon Plus 2 was larger and featured a rear bench and boot. In the following years JBA launched the JBA Falcon Sports, a two-seater sportscar, in 1988, the JBA Falcon Tourer in 1990, the Falcon Sports SR in 1991, their first Ford Sierra based model, the JBA Falcon TSR and Falcon Sports SRi in 1993 and 1995 respectively.

In 2004 JBA Engineering was sold and the production suspended until the company was eventually dissolved in 2007. In 2008 the company Wilki Engineering developed a special interest in the JBA Falcon and in bringing it back. In 2010 the dream to resuscitate the Falcon became a reality when JBA Motors presented their new car at the 2011 National Kit Car Motors Show in Stoneleigh. The 2011 JBA Falcon is a revival version of the original JBA Falcon Roadster.
