Kieft Sports Car Co. Ltd.  was founded after WWII by Cyril Kieft  in Bridgend, Glamorgan, U.K., under the name Cyril Kieft and Co Ltd. The company specialized in building racing cars for the Formula Three. Later Stirling Moss joined the Company , which moved to Wolverhampton. Kieft also produced a two seater sports cars and a Formula One prototype.  In 1951 The Formula Three race was won by a Kieft car piloted by Stirling Moss. In 1954, following important financial losses, the company was sold to Berwyn Baxter, a racing driver, who sold it again in 1960, at which time the company’s name was changed to Burmans.
