Land Rover upgraded the Freelander 2 for the 2013 model year with a new petrol engine, which will not be available in the UK, and most of the trim available on the Evoque.
The new engine is the Si4 2.0-liter petrol with turbocharging and direct injection that produces 240ps and 340Nm of torque. It emits 224g/km of CO2. It replaces the previous Si6 naturally aspirated V6. The new four-cylinder is more powerful but produces 14% less CO2. The engine will not be available in the UK.
