Minardi was a racing car constructor founded in 1979 by Giancarlo Minardi. It participated in Formula One Championships from 1985 to 2005, completing 345 Grand Prix races. Minardi was sold in 2001 to Paul Stoddart who ran the team until 2005. In this year, Red Bull bought the team and renamed it Scuderia Toro Rosso.
