The Talisman is a rebadged version of the Renault Samsung SM7. It will be offered with either a 190hp 2.5l, V6 or a 258hp, 3.5l V6. The Talisman has changed styling in comparison to the SM7, but mechanically they are identical.
Renault has experienced strong growth in China. Since opening there in 1993, it is now the company's largest market. It controls 7.3% of the Chinese market and thinks it can sell 2 million cars a year there by 2015.
