NSU

NSU was founded in 1873 in Germany. It started out to be a knitting machine manufacturer, then it expanded on to bicycles and, in 1905, NSU launched it first car model. In 1932, Fiat bought NSU’s car production. The company manufacture became focused on motorcycles, becoming the largest motorcycle producer in the world in 1955. NSU embraced car production again in 1957 with the release of the Prinz. Volkswagen Group took over NSU in 1969 and merged it with Auto Union to form Audi NSU Auto-Union. The Ro 80 was the last car model to have the NSU badge.
