The 2015 WRX STI replaces the standard WRX’s 268hp and 258lb-ft 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder with a 305hp and 290lb-ft 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine with active valve control. The only transmission option is a six-speed manual.

It also wears a body with wider fenders, stiffer chassis and sport suspension. The front of the car is slightly changed with the grill and bumper integrated into a single unit made from aluminum to decrease front weight. It also has narrower headlights than the WRX and standard LED low-bead headlights. It also has a unique hood, fenders and doors compared to the standard WRX. The rear gets a diffuser and LED taillights.

The STI gets the latest generation of Subaru’s Active Torque Vectoring all-wheel drive system that combines a multi-mode center differential, multi-mode vehicle dynamics control and sport-tuned ABS. The power is sent 41:59 front to rear and depending on driver inputs, power can also be sent side-to-side.

The interior STI comes standard with Alcantara seats with red and black leather bolsters and red stitching and a flat-bottom steering wheel. Dual-zone climate control, heated seats, heated exterior mirrors and heated windshield wipers are standard. There is an optional navigation system with a 6.1in LCD screen.
