Debuted in 2011, the Toyota iQ 1.0 VVT-i 2 belongs to the 1st generation of the iQ model. Powered by a 996cc engine, this model variant has a power output of 67 hp. This is the entry-level of this series line-up. This hatchback has the least powerful engine amongst all variants. The hatchback is able to reach a top speed of 150 km/h, boosting from 0 to 100km/h in 14.95 seconds. This vehicle produces 99 g/km of CO2 emissions. It has a combined fuel consumption of 4.4 l/100km. In terms of CO2 emissions, it is the most efficient choice in the iQ line-up. It has a boot volume of 238 l. Although it can be extended by lowering the back seats.

The Toyota iQ was first presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show as a concept vehicle. In 2008 at the Geneva Auto Show it was introduced and set to go into production and reach the european market in January 2009.
